AoVs generate ANIMA by burning 0.05 PARTICLE x LVL to BATTLE against others! (24 hour CD included; but you gain some EXP too!)
As of writing (11/2/2022) your ANIMA gains = ANIMA rewards x LVL x 0.3 + BONUS (from Profession)
So you keep seeing this PvP score thing in Part II – what the heck is it?
Asides from building implicit value on your Realm, Population capacity for PARTICLE generation, the most lucrative truly are…MAGIC rewards! (Measured from PvP scores)
So quite simply, if you had chosen to sell your Collectibles on Trove, you would miss out on the implicit value creation here and the competition for MAGIC rewards.
How to get $MAGIC rewards?
Tempest has not met a soul that dislikes MAGIC!
Realms’ competitive PvP aspect is primarily building to get up PvP score and basically compete within “tiers” which offer varying levels of MAGIC rewards.
Mechanically, those that build the most stuff get the lion’s share of MAGIC rewards.
You will need a MAGIC Refinery to engage in this aspect of play. They were minted out quite some months ago, as such, you can only buy them on Trove. Original mint prices are included for reference.
Below are October rewards for reference (10/31/2022) – and this is purely a reference for P2E-ers – NFA DYOR please (Below are minimum and maximum rewards):
Edit: T1-3 have finished due to Atlas Mine closure but are considered as possibly founder tokens – stay tuned. (2/3/2023)
PvP score is showcased in the Leaderboard and is ADDITIVE
More population (50%) = PvP score & Moar Adventurers capacity + PARTICLE potential
More Inheritance (35%) = PvP Score
Rest of the score are less impactful – but scale with population more than Inheritance!
PvP score = moar MAGIC gains
Inherently improves the value of underlying Realm (remember that 100k MAGIC sale?)
Sell the Collectibles / Constructs for MAGIC (No guide here, just set price and list)

How to Build Cities & Benefits?
You can build up to Cities / Monuments with no CD.
The material needed to build a City NFT varies seasonally depending on Prime Convergence (basically an election cycle by the community to determine the key collectible type to be used each season.
Building rewards you with a City NFT (which you can stake/sell) and population boosts (burn Nourishment for moar population)
As of 10/28/22 writing, the prime collectible for building cities is Tech.
What do cities do? Well, you do need a place for people to live right? (Cities boost Population capacity)
What does Population do? Who serves ale & washes sheets for your adventurers? (Population capacity boosts AoV capacity => MOAR PARTICLEs)

How to Build Monuments & Benefits?
You can build up to Cities / Monuments with no CD.
The material needed to build a Monument NFT requires Earthen collectibles.
Monuments boost “Inheritance” which is a score for leaderboards (And in turn Magic Refinery rewards). No population boosts, however, so generally, CP is lower than City-building.
Regardless, you will likely build some unless for some reason you have 100% of your realms attuned to the specific season for City Building.

How to boost Population?
After having population boosts, you can eat (Burn) food to get more people in your Realm.
There are no restrictions on the use of this feature as long as you have a Boost (which you get from building Cities NFT).
Population boost are linear based on rarity, except the exotic one, Wine!
It sounds deceptively useless but boosts score meaningfully, and, if you read about DreamRealm, imagine a king of realms housing most AoVs and holding lion’s share of PARTICLE production (which can produce collectibles, but is likely to have more utility soon!)
